Whether it's saving you a trip to the ATM or taking the guesswork out of dividing up the cost of lunch, Zelle is a fast, safe, and easy way to send and request money between enrolled friends, family, and others you trust. What is Zelle?
Zelle is a fast and easy way to send money directly between enrolled users who have an eligible checking or savings account in the U.S., typically within minutes.1 With the email address or U.S. mobile phone number of an enrolled Zelle user, you can send money to those you trust, regardless of where they bank.2
Who can I send money to with Zelle?
You can send money to friends, family, and others you trust who have eligible checking and saving accounts that are currently enrolled in Zelle. Since money is sent directly between enrolled users, it typically occurs within minutes.1
What are some benefits of using Zelle?
- You can send money quickly, in just a few steps.
- Settle up with Zelle enrolled roommates, friends and more - regardless of where they bank.2
- Easily divide the cost of dinner, group gifts, and more.
What are some things to be aware of while using Zelle?
- You should never use Zelle for transactions involving people you do not know, or for transactions in which you aren’t sure you will get what you paid for (i.e. items bought from an online bidding or sales site).
- Zelle transactions are potentially high risk — they are essentially the same as sending cash, as the money is sent directly from your bank account. Neither First Financial nor Zelle offers a protection program for any authorized payments made with Zelle (i.e. if you do not receive the item you paid for or the item is not as described or as expected — you authorized the transaction as soon as any funds were sent to a recipient).
